I am in the process of getting newmexico51's permission to use this image as the icon for the new group. It is still on the drawing board, but it will become a reality. Like we need yet another group on and about cars? Yes, wait until you see what I have in mind. This will be so cool it will pull in submission from throughout the world. I am excited. Here's a heads up to all who recall the era when PINK and BLACK were "the" colors to wear to be in the "in" group. Stay anxious, my friends and watch for the announcement. Champagne will be served. Will you be present for the christening and commissioning ceremonies?

August...clouds Sky and Leaves

Entrance to the universe where boredom will never exist. It is waiting, but I am not anxious to write my own ticket. An inspirational photo for those who have come to the realization that immortality does not begin on earth..............Robert

It was so beautiful, the weather so perfect, that the image is engraved in my mind. Your photo is a prompter for that initial view to pop up. No pop up blockers here.
THANKS TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER 4PIZON for permission to exhibit his photograph in my personal blog, Robert.

U.S. Marines excavate the crash site of U.S. Navy Capt. Michael Scott.

REST IN PEACE, CAPTAIN..........

THERE WAS THE GLIMMER OF HOPE THAT CAPTAIN SPEICHER WAS ALIVE...and would someday appear as if from a dream and all would be well. Such scenes are only in our minds, but now that we know the facts, I am sure that the Captain will now rest in peace and take his respected place in our military history. Robert L. Huffstutter

(There is a park bench in a park back in his hometown with a plaque that is dedicated to his memory. For years, when I lived in the area year-round, it was a bench I visied on my jogging outings with my dog, Moby.)

"ASK WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY, NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU..."JFK

"ASK WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR COUNTRY, NOT WHAT YOUR COUNTRY CAN DO FOR YOU..."JFK
Let there be no mistaking, I have seen and heard JFK alive and in person in the autumn of 1960 in San Diego, California and it was JFK who said, "Ask what you can do for your country, not what can your country can do for you." JFK was a Democrat; he had served as a Naval Officer during World War Two. JFK was the hope for the 60s generation. His belief in personal freedoms, freedom of speech and equal rights for all people of all colors and creeds made him the long-remembered hero of my generation. I was proud to serve under JFK as my Commander in Chief as I had under Dwight D. Isenhower, and eventually, under President Lyndon B. Johnson. Having seen each of these Presidents, plus President Harry S. Truman, also a military veteran, I was one proud American. Today, our Constitution gives me the hope I believe we will need to make these United States of America a proud and first-class nation once again, a nation that knows our enemy, a nation that deals with each individual on a an equal basis. I respect the office of the President of the United States and it is my hope that President Obama will understand that he represents all of the people, not an exclusive group of ultra-liberal ideological individuals. This is my opinion and I am proud to be able to publish it without fear of intimidation. Robert L. Huffstutter.
