The constellations were a joy; they flew at an altitude that permitted viewing of the scenery.

Flew on these while in USN and one of the best domestic flights I ever had was from MCAS Cherry Point to NAS North Island. Pilot gave us a double take over Grand Canyon.

Memories of a lifetime on these great planes designed by Kelly Johnson at Lockheed. Our squadron, VQ-1, flew these along with the A3D WHALES.
