WHAT DID A SAILOR DO ON LIBERTY? There was never a shortage of fun things to do. There was the San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, Mission Beach, dances at the USO, The Plaza picture show, tattoo shops, coffee shops, cafes, steak houses, Tijuana, Coronado, Coronado Ferry, Point Loma, downtown bars, Public Library, downtown bars, Union Square and whatever was happening spontaneously through a smile that said "hello."
